Attorney Nara Herbowy-Callanan's Law Practice focuses on helping families enhance their lives today and secure their futures tomorrow.  She excels in guiding her clients through the often confusing maze of financial and legal decisions to create plans that ensure the well-being of their families and the accomplishments of cherished family goes.  Her legal expertise includes family protection, wealth preservation, and values-based planning as well as planning strategies for small business owners.  Whether you are married, single, with a traditional family or blended one, just starting out or looking back on a life well-lived, Nara will help you design a plan that empowers you to achieve your goals for your loved ones today and for years to come.

Nara attended Albany Law School, where she was a member and Note & Comment Editor of the Albany Law Review, and participated in coveted clerkships including her work a the NYS Division of Human Rights.  Upon graduating from ALS in 1997, Nara served as one of the 12 premier attorneys at AYCO in the Estate Financial Services Deivision, where she provided SurvivorSupport® to hundreds of families across the U.S., guiding them through estate and financial issues after the loss of a loved one.  While at AYCO, Nara was promoted to Account Manager, providing financial and estate planning guidance to high-net worth individuals and executives from Fortune 500 companies.  Nara continued working with high-net worth executives, both internal and externally, at The Northern Trust Company.  She honed her skills and also become an expert in tax planning and employee benefits.  Eventually, Nara was hired by Ernst & Young, LLP where she assisted in writing and editing the E&Y Tax guide, provided financial, estate, and retirement planning services to employees of Fortune 500 Companies such as 3M & Boeing.  In addition, Nara was one of the few featured personalities on State Farm TV - State Farms' internal television station - providing tax, financial, estate planning, and retirement tips to State Farm employees and independent agents across all 50 states.

Nara also has the experience of being a creative small business owner, establishing a full-service interior design firm, Nara Callanan Interiors.  Nara's legal background provided her with the skills and acumen to establish and grow a business in the NYC metro area over a 6 year period.  Nara's work has been featured in Architectural Digest, NJ Home, as well as various online content.

Nara enjoys educating her community, and working with families and business owners.  Nara has chosen to concentrate on the Trusts and Estates & Business areas of law because she is passionate about helping families create happy and secure futures.

Most importantly, Nara is married to her wonderful husband, Bill, and she is the proud mother of Luc, Avril, and Asher.
